The content on these DVDs is really terrific... The interviews with Bob Benedetto, historical photos, his philosophy, and his art and skill of making guitars, gave me a new insight into the difference between a Benedetto guitar and anything else available. I highly recommend this double DVD if you have an interest in the true craftsmanship and passion involved in making probably the finest guitars available.
The one problem I had with the DVDs was that the brightness of the screen would change... the image would start out fine then after about 20 seconds... fade to a darker, yet still visible image... then 20 seconds it would get brighter again.. This went on through both DVDs. I was so interested in the information, I tried to ignore it. I ran the DVDs on two different DVD players, a Philips and a Sony, neither of which have I ever had a problem with. Many years ago I think I experienced this problem and I seem to remember it was due to the copy protection scheme. Perhaps they changed the copy protection scheme since these DVDs were first produced.
Again though, in spite of this technical problem... I highly recommend purchasing and viewing these DVDs.
